Amy Maakestad
Amy
started ringing handbells in fourth grade and has been hooked ever
since. She rang in choirs under the direction of her mom, Patty
VanLandschoot, through college. Amy has a Bachelors Degree in Piano
Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and a Master of
Sacred Music Degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul. She is currently
Director of Music Ministries at White Bear Lake United Methodist Church
where she is the organist, directs two handbell choirs, the cherub
choir and does worship planning. In her free time, Amy enjoys
gardening, baking, eating and parenting her two young children with
husband, Matthew.
