Bells of the Pond
Bells of the Pond is a subset of Bells of the Lakes. Membership in this small group ensemble is on a rotating basis as schedules and availability dictate. This group is for those Bells of the Lakes members who enjoy a challenge and just can't get enough ringing! Led by members of the group and directorless in concert, this group offers a unique ringing experience for members. The ringers take this opportunity as a challenge to play different bells in different clefs in different ways, ringing with “lots of metal and few hands!” They play everything from Vivaldi's Seasons, to Stark’s Beside Still Waters, to Mozart's Sonata in C.
Currently, Bells of the Pond can be heard performing Take Five by Paul Desmond (and made popular by the Dave Brubeck Quartet) at Bells of the Lakes concerts.
