Bells of the Lakes Members
Sarah Kaufenberg
Sarah played
as a
substitute ringer for a year before joining Bells of the Lakes in the
fall of 2005. She started ringing in Park Rapids under the direction
of her mom in 1980 and was the “last minute ringer”
for
the adult handbell choir for many sunrise services on Easter. She
attended North Dakota State University in Fargo and received her
degree in Vocal Music Education. Sarah teaches music part-time in
the St. Anthony school district, working with kindergarten and first
grade classes. Using her degree in music education to its fullest,
she also teaches private piano and voice lessons, maintaining a
studio of 40 students. In her spare time Sarah and her husband enjoy
traveling and training for triathlons.
